Avoiding Abuse, Achieving a Balance: Tackling the Opioid Public Health Crisis is a report released by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario with 31 recommendations in response to the problems with opioid abuse and addiction. This report integrates the work of four working groups comprised of health professionals, health regulators, experts, patients, law enforcement and community organizations providing recommendations covering a wide range of issues directed to government, regulatory authorities, academic institutions, community organizations and others.
